DASA Examinations 2021

EXAMS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE VIDEO ASSESSMENT EXAMS IN THIS FORMAT:

PRE-GRADES, GRADES AND ALL MEDAL DANCES

• The entry and fees MUST reach the office no later than 6 weeks before your area’s session date and the USB stick MUST be sent directly to the examiner, during the week of the session . Please request the Postnet address of the examiner from the office and WhatsApp a photo of the delivery slip to the examiner. The last exams to be accepted will be the 6 week cut-off before the November sessions . If your entry is ready before this PLEASE send it into the office so that it can be processed
• All fees are in the Newsletter and on the website.
• Tiny Tots 1 & 2: will receive certificates and medals with a Report per group and 1 [one] Teacher’s Report
• Pre-Primary: will receive certificates with Distinction, Merit or Pass and medals and a Report and 1 [one] Teacher’s Report.
• Primary & Grades: will receive individual reports and certificates with Distinction, Merit or Pass [no % mark will be given] and medals and 1 [one] Teacher’s Report per grade.
• All Medal Dances: will receive the Report with a mark of either A, B etc and medal with 1 [one] Teacher’s Report per dance. Please use the new Open Medals to allow your students the fun of presenting their dance from your show, a dance they have entered for a competition or another genre that you teach- those that entered this section last year so enjoyed it.

To summarise:– these examinations will be as though you are having an examiner in your studio except that the Primary and Grades will not be given a % [percentage] mark.

MAJORS

• The sessions will take place at the times allocated in the Newsletter as contact exams but, there will only be 1 [one] examiner.
• Students will be examined in groups of 2 unless there are odd numbers when 3 will be examined together.
• The session will only take place if there are enough students to make it viable.
• All exam rules remain as far as entry, fees, dress code and exam protocol are concerned.

The DASA directors have taken the above decisions, after careful deliberation, with the safety of students, parents, teachers and examiners in mind and trust that you will convey this to your parents and students. We are living in uncertain tines with many stresses and hope that the decisions that have been made will assist you in being able, to at least plan your exams session for the year.

Please support YOUR Academy by entering for exams and even bulking it up with Medal Dances because, without your involvement you may not have an Academy to belong to or earn your living from.
